Dr. John Govostes, Periodontist

Dr. John Govostes is a board-certified periodontist and a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

He completed both his dental school training and periodontal residency at Tufts University School of Dental medicine in Boston and previously graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. degree in Biology. Dr. Govostes is an active member of the ADA and Massachusetts Dental Society. He also is a guest lecturer at the annual Yankee Dental Congress. Dr. Govostes is also committed to volunteer projects, including a dental mission to Quito, Ecuador.

Dr. Govostes is a North Shore native, growing up with his family in Ipswich, MA where he attended Ipswich High school and was a captain of the basketball team. He is active with the Greek Orthodox Church and enjoys his summers boating and the beaches of Cranes and Plum Island.

Dr. Govostes specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease and tooth replacement with dental implants, including single as well as full mouth restorations and “Teeth in a Day” therapy. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the latest technology and advances in dentistry, as well as making their experiences as gentle and friendly as possible.
